Hi folks,
I am a frustrated Apex user Here are the symptoms of my illness. I purchased a complete apex back in November and quickly set it up. It was easy and worked fine and all my probe readings seemed accurate except the orp probe which always read 0. I contacted Neptune and after testing my unit they concluded that mine was faulty, so they sent me a new one. Yesterday I plugged all my probes etc into the new unit and also recalibrated them. I eagerly awaited to see my orp reading. Well now it just reads 5 and seems stuck there. Also my salt reading seems quite low so I have recalibrated that several times and it also seems stuck on 27. When I test my salt with my refractometer and it reads normal. Anyway I contact Neptune and they said it may take time for my orp probe to read correctly. Should I be more patient? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated to relieve the pain.

It can take a while for the ORP probe to settle although 5 seems a bit low, but I would wait a few more days/week and see what happens before being to concerned and let it settle down.

I can’t see much point for it for most people anyway, if mine breaks it won’t be replaced and I have 2 separate Apex systems

I should have just left the old base unit and not changed it because all the probes seem out of wack now. I can't get my conductivity probe to read accurately either. I tried tipping it upside down underwater to get the bubbles out and now it reads very high.
