Hello,

I keep getting messages that my alarm is off. How do i change this?

Please post your alarm code.

Also confirm your EmailAlm slider on the dashboard is set to Auto, not ON.

Not sure how to navigate to the alarm code. I set it up through the "Task" function and "Probe Alarm".

It was set to on, i've changed it to Auto. I immediately received a text saying:
FRM:apex Fusion
SUBJ: Apex Fusion Alarm: Apex
MSG: Satus:OFF
Statement:Alarm is off
Date...

OK, this is normal behavior. If you manually set the slider to ON, it is going to send you a notification once per hour stating the alarm status (as defined by the programming), so in your case it sent the “Alarm is Off” notice every 60 minutes. Once you moved it back to Auto, it sent that latest notice. Now that it’s on Auto, it will only send a notification when the programming triggers it.

See my tutorial for an in-depth overview on Apex alarm programming: https://www.reef2reef.com/ams/neptune-apex-programming-tutorials-part-6-alarms.707/

It said alarm off. I have it on auto.
One of your optical sensors or leak sensor might be rapidly toggling on and off so quickly that the Apex doesn't have time to send the initial Alarm On message which would include the description of the device causing it before it sends the Alarm Off message. Add this line to your EmailAlm program to force the alarm to stay active long enough to send the Alarm On notification:

Min Time 000:30 Then ON

Once you identify the source of the problem, you can investigate to see if it needs cleaning or some other issue.

It’s still doing it.

Wait, I just went back and looked at your initial screenshot. Since the "Alarm Off" is reported exactly once per hour, that means you likely have your EmailAlm output slider set to "ON" when it should be set to "AUTO". It ignores the programming unless it's set to AUTO.

My email is set to auto. It just says alarm off over and over.

What does it show for the current status above the EmailAlm output slider on your dashboard? Example:

This is the current status. I put a paper towel under the leak sensor and so far that’s stopped it.

Where would you put this on the program?
