Apex Fusion not working

Hey all,

I purchased my Apex system and have been running it the life of the tank, which is about 10 months now. I bought it used from a LFS (do not know who owned it prior). I want to set up Apex fusion to it but it says it has already been linked which I am assuming is by the previous owner. So my question is how can I get this thing to allow me to use the Apex fusion for alerts, which is probably one of the best selling points of this product.

Is it a classic or newer model? Though, you can start with factory reset and then Update to the latest firmware. Classic model required a wifi bridge. Use the token to generate by your apex unit to link to fushion. A lot of instructors on apex forum.

I am unsure. my apex is this model posted below. I just updated the firmware. Still message on Apex local page says "This Apex has already been linked to Apex Fusion." with no options to erase or change user

 
Do you have access to the dashboard? I had the same problem when I bought my Apex. I used the startup guide from Neptune.

Would a factory reset remove it from fusion?
 
If the Apex is linked to someone elses Fusion account you will need to either have that person remove it or contact Neptune and work with them to remove it.

It cannot be linked to two accounts and will not offer you a token until its disassociated from the previous user.

This is because you bought it used and the previous owner didnt remove it from their dashboard.

I don't know what solution to this is. I've bought used apexes and each time I asked previous owner to remove it.

Problem is what happens if you dont know who the previous owner is or one is no longer reachable.
