Apex HELP

i need some help with my apex cause it stopped working. it hasnt worked in a few weeks and i need to get it working and i dont know whats wrong. when i try to acess it online it just tells me it not available. dose anyone know what could be wrong. i dont know if its my wireless router or if its my apex.

sounds like you dont have any connection....can you program it with the display module ?

yea if i was at home. if i have a DSN service it has to monitor your IP address from your comp right? what will happen if i take my computer with me to FL and the DSN service cant get the info off my computer? will that make it so my DSN service dosent work? if so how do i get the DSN service to monitor the IP on an other computer at home? the wireless at home is working on the computers. the only thing that makes me think the DSN is that i cant access my apex or my webcam and thats the only common link between them. both the webcam and apex have there lights on saying they can recieve wireless.

I'm not much of an IT guy, but I think you're right. Your internet provider can and will change your home's IP address. IIRC, this is covered in the unofficial user's guide. I'm not positive, but you may need the paid service from dyndns to keep it from happening.

i can access my apex from anywhere in the country by either another computer or on my andriod cell phone .......i dont have a DNS provider either....you just have to change the port that your apex is using and use your public IP address instead of your private IP address and go into your router and port forward the new port number you asigned to your apex....without a paid DNS provider you just have to keep an eye on your IP address because it will change every month so makes your address change to your web pages to access your apex

i already have the paid service so it should keep track of my IP address. i was able to view it anywhere until a few weeks ago. i dont know if its cause my computer no long is on the home net work. the DNS service say they download something to the computer to monitor the IP address. with my computer not on the home net work it cant monitor the ip address any more. so i dont know if the reason i cant access my apex is cause the IP address at home as changed and DNS didnt catch it caues my computer isnt on that network. if that makes sence.

You can also request a static IP address from your provider. Some charge a small fee but it might be cheaper than a paid DNS account.

My provider does it for free, and but I live in a smaller town.
