Hi everyone, setting up my first reef tank. Have a Cade 900 PR on the way and I bought an Apex. My understanding is that the Apex and EB832 is not able to mount in the controller section of the Cade cabinet (not deep enough). Wondering if anyone else is using an Apex with their Cade and how they have over come this? Pictures of your set up would be helpful too. Just placing these on the shelf area in the "chiller" section?

Well I ordered end of November and hasnt shipped yet! To be fair website did say ships in 6-8 weeks. Its worked out since I'm remodeling the space where the tank will go so it would just be taking up space if it had been delivered already.

Mine is the 1800. I just mounted in fish room behind tank. To much equipment to mount all in the stand and still comfortably get to it all.

This is awesome! I have a mechanical room behind the wall where I plan to put my Cade 1500. I’d sure love to have a similar set up rather than trying to work in a tight cabinet space for everything!

It keeps evolving. Now even have auto water changes. Technology makes things so much easier. No way to fit all of this in a cab.

Are you using Apex for auto water changes? I have to figure out how to do that. I know BRS has a video, but man, they go so fast! I’ll have to watch it a few times to sort out what I’m doing. How much of a pass through did you have to use in your wall to the tank?

Bump, I just bought a CADE 900 S2 and was wondering the same. Trying to decide how to mounty energy bar. I wish I had a room on the other side for everything mechanical to hide everything!

Where did you order the water containers? Thanks,
Sorry just saw this. Go to your local farm and home stores. I found one at orschelins and one at race brothers. Farmers use them all the time. Very expensive to order online and ship.

Yes apex and the apex dos. It is an option when setting up the dos. Makes it super simple. My tank is on the other side of that wall so minimal distance

I ordered a pair of 65g from Tractor Supply Co. Next day delivery was 49$. Thanks!

Some info I just found out to mount the Neptune EB32 on the controller side of the cabinet. You can mount it as it's intended and the door will close all the way if you buy these flat 1' swivel head cable extensions. Hope it helps out.

Awesome! You'll love it for sure. I finally mounted the Apex. I think the six pack of those plug extensions on Amazon were like $35ish.

Just as a tangent I decided to be undecided re the apex. The Ion Director looks amazing and so now I, thinking GHL. But the programming looks like actual work so Is a bit intimidating. But, yeah, I’m thinking GHL just bc of ion director.

probably being too fixated on it, but the ease of testing seems to be a godsend. The trident seems to be less than universally loved…

I just mounted mine and the door won't close! The Apex Pro unit itself is too thick, so maybe it's an issue with the A3 version.
