I have the Apex aquacontroller classic. I recently purchased the leak detection module and hooked it up. While doing so I decided to upgrade to 4.53 firmware while I was at it. The firmware went through all the steps and then got to the end and wouldn't connect. At this point I cannot remember what the actual message was as I shut the utility browser. May be my problem.

Anyway. I have a blinking orange status light on my controller, EB8's and all modules. My display is blank and some of my equipment that I rarely use turned on while others turned off.

When I open the utility browser to try to update the firmware again it is not connecting at all. It shows this as the progress and then just sits there:

Loading firmware file into memory
Firmware file load complete...
Calculating Apex Start Checksum Vector
Calculating Apex Start Checksum Vector complete...
The controller address is: 192.168.2.14
Connecting to controller at address: 192.168.2.14
Connecting

What do I need to do? How can I get it back online? Is there a safe way to reboot and save my settings?

Well. it jsut connected after I typed all of this. Bunch of errors but a block goes through randomly. It did this before until it was at 120 of 120 then sat. Maybe I'll just let it sit and this will fix it. Not sure why I have no display on my display screen though.

Is your Apex connected via WIFI adapter or network cable? If WIFI adapter, you're running into data transfer issues because Apex uses UDP instead of TCP for file transfer. If this is the case, there's a good chance hard-wiring it for the update will fix it.

This is the statement I get at the end.

Sent block: 120 of 120 successful.
