If i buy the apex jr, and want to upgrade it to an apex classic in the future, can i just buy the missing parts like the apex base unit and ph probe?

Also is there a boxing day sale for apex products?

To answer your first question, yes and no. You can add different modules onto the Apex Jr (ph, salinity, eb8, etc), however there is a limit to how many modules you can add to a Apex Jr. It used to be 5 or 6, but I think they raised the limit on the most current software. Also, I do not believe you can add the base unit to an Apex Jr. Although it does look like a standard eb4, it is quite different.

From what I understand, its the same thing as an apex classic it just doesnt have eb8, and the base unit. But if i bought an eb8 and apex base unit, ive got an apex classic no?

I do not believe so. My understanding is you cannot use an Apex Jr to add more outlets to an existing Apex classic. Since the Apex Jr does not have the base unit, that functionality was built into the Apex Jr eb4, making it considerably different than the normal eb4. I would assume then that buying an apex base unit could not simply be plugged into an Apex Jr. Someone else with more knowledge may want to chime in though.
