if I buy the apex jr am I able to plug a ph probe into it or do I have to buy something extra to do so?

Apex jr I believe you have a temp probe and ph probe on it. Can only have 5 modules total and the jr itself counts as one. So you can have the jr and 4 eb8's

This sounds right, I recall having to buy a pm1 when I wanted to set another temp probe. I have lite now, if you plan to upgrade or run multiple tanks in the future you should look for a lite model which I think you can only get used now.
