Apex lab grade salinity probe question

my apex gives me different readings on salinity depending on temperature of tank. I was told this is not normal and the salinity should stay stable reguardless of temperature. Any input or info would be much appreciated. Thanks

Salinity itself is not affected by temperature, but our ability to measure it is. Neptune recommends using a 2nd temp probe in the pm2 module to help in measuring conductivity. It will never be completely stable and will have slight fluctuations in measurement

I think you can use any temperature probe, but it has to be in the same place as the conductivity probe.

Correct, Neptune just has the temp port there so you can run a second probe next to the conductivity probe.

The temperature will affect the reading of the "salinity" probe. They call it conductivity probe for a reason...
