I have and Apex lite that was bought used. I have been having issues with the internal board going bad. I ran the unit for over a month with 2 16 inch basic reef lights, dc return pump, 1 3k gyre, heater and skimmer. I placed a second 3k gyre that had been used for curing rock. shortly after putting the second gyre on the tank is when the first board on the eb8 went bad. I sent it in for repair. The bad pump was removed from the tank, i plugged my lights, return pump, skimmer and heater back into the eb8 and it ran for a little over a week and lost another board. Apex send me another eb8 plugged a white channel led and a blue channel led into port 1 and 2 and turn them on and not a minute later bam lost another board. A few days after this board going out I discovered I have a bad gfci. Everything was working fine until the gyre went bad. Has anybody ever had anything similar happen? I have checked all of my equipment individually in a good gfci and none of the equipment will make it trip. I am trying to figure out what maybe causing the eb8 boards to go bad. Once I get my eb8 back from repair I will move my apex to another circuit in the house for testing.
