I'm thinking of backing up my ATO and my return pump from my sump via float sensors in the sump and my Apex.
My sump: Has 3 Sections.
Settling compartment/skimmer--->Refugiu--->Return pump to tank.
IN the return pump section I have my Tunze Osmolator. I was thinking of putting a float switch right above my high water level indicator for the Tunze osmolator. This way if there is a problem with the ATO malfunctioning or my return pump fails I'll be notified via text/email. Plus the osmolator alarm will go off.
Second, I would put another float switch below my ATO setup in the sump yet above the return pump. So…If I had block in my tank draining, the switch would activate and shut off my return pump and not completely pump another 5-7 gallons on the floor.
Opinions/Suggestions please!
