Thinking about adding a controller to my 120 gallon set up. My goal is to eventually switch over to the Triton method and I like the apex dosing pumps. Also I wanted to upgrade to the Neptune WAV pumps. Looking at the Apex Jr because I’m really not that concerned with PH, Salinity, and ORP monitoring, I’m okay with continuing my usual testing to save the $500. I’m usually pretty good with tech stuff, but one thing I can’t figure out. It says you can connect up to seven modules to an Apex Jr, but it only has 2 aqua bus ports and you need one for the display. This is what I want to add.

ATK module
WAV module
Automatic Feeder
2 sets of dosing pumps
Maybe switch to a COR-20 return pump down the line.

Thanks for the help.

I did the same thing, went Apex JR and selected a few key Modules. I have been regretting the decision for months. I would like to add more on however I can not expand.

For the modules remember that EB8's count as modules as well. I was speaking with Apex customer service and you can expand past 7 modules using a breakout box.

Also just an FYI, if a module on the Apex decides it doesn’t want to work properly, it will cause everything to not work. Happened to me and others as well.

All that is doable, you just daisy chain one module to the next and the next and so on. I have the jr right now and love it, although I’ve been searching the boards for an apex brain because I know I’ll eventually have more than 7 modules.
