apex mounting hacks, ideas and insperation.

so I am looking for creative cost effective ways to mount my apex. unfortunately my 40br sump take up all the space under my SCA 90 cube-ish so it will have to be a stand alone unit of some sort.

would love to see what you guy/gals have come up with. post some pics of your set up lets us inspire each other and see if we can find some cool hacks together.

I had the same issue that you were thinking of. I did a video of what I ended up doing
Basically I built 2 side cabinets with a false wall to mount power bricks to and rand the wires through
3/4" ,and 2" holes cut into the plywood. The end result looked pretty sleek and keeps my electronics out of the stand.

I also actually routed and installed plexiglass into the windows so that I can visually monitor things as well. Hope it helps!

(where appropriate I used heavy duty extension cords to extend cables.

Medicine cabinet... $30 clearance at Home Depot... tore out glass and put in plexiglass... used 3/4” pvc to hide wires... cost me $50

My stand is made of plywood that had an enamel paint and primer applied to it in multiple layers. Its wrapped around a framingtech.com T-Slot aluminum stand. The doors also have acrylic inserts to match the side cabinets. The doors are "hung" using door hangers and are completely removable. Unfortunately I don't have any construction pics

I mount electronics to a piece of plywood in the stand, that has the power supplies on the back of it.

Then electronics I want access to, I print small holders.

I wish I had room to mount the controllers inside the stand. only option is to build an attachment to the stand and I just might do that.

how wide of a cabinet you guys recommend? with cords behind and goodies mounted?
