ok i just purchasted a new apex system and a new neptune solenoid that plugs in to the eb8 and then i have a mechanical float in the sump on the return end.I've figured out how to turn it on and of but im wanting to progrm it to turn on for 5-10 min every hour and set some other fail safes like if salanity drops below 34.5 to turn it off just to prevent over filling it if socks back up ect. Im new to apex comands please help.Any suggestions

I dont have a switch im just using a float valve and a solenoidi want the apex to open the soliniod for 5-10 min every hour just to repace the water that evaporates and close the float valve i have it direcly hooked up to the rodi out put

This is what I use on my ATO. It doesn't have any fail safes programed in but it turns my small pump on for 1 minute everyday to replace water. You can use this to program the outlet and figure out the fail safes that you want to add.

Fallback OFF
Set OFF
If Time 13:30 to 13:31 Then ON

How long have you run it like this? Have you had any problems with salinity swings?

I use this

http://reefgadgets.com/controllers/computers/neptune-systems-i-o-breakout-box-apex/

with this setting
Fallback OFF
Set OFF
If Sw4 CLOSED Then ON
If FeedD 240 Then OFF

It connects the float switch to you apex

I use a similar code with my float switch. I added this line of code to protect against a failed float switch (which has happened):
Min Time 010:00 Then OFF
If the switch fails and the pump keeps running it will shut off in 10 minutes and email me that there is something wrong. It's come in handy a few times.

Been running a few months, no issues so far. I do weekly water changes, checking my salinity when I do them, and it has stayed constant.

Can you do the same for max time?
