looking at the website the ph probe is extra which brings the difference in price to $100. Not sure what you get for the extra $100 on the apex except for some kind of dimming module for LED. I want the best bang for my buck but do not want to spend money on something I will not use. Thanks in advance for any info.

I have the Apex Lite and have added multiple modules to add functionality as I've needed it. Apex Lite has a pH probe connection...can't remember if it came with the actual probe or not though.

You can start small with a Lite and work your way up as you need by adding modules.

We didn't bother carrying the lite because when people need to do float switches or dimming control it brings them back to the price of the apex.

for me or my recommendation to my friends its either the apexJR or save up extra cash for the full blown apex

I always say to buy the best you can afford even if you dont need the full Apex, at some point you may outgrow the lite.

Not sure if it is the apex lite or apex jr but one of them doesn't have the backup power port in case of power failure this means you will not get a power failure email or text.
