Any details to share on the Mobius? All I could find was the below article.

Still vaporware.. if it’s not on the shelf everything is pure speculation IMHO.

Also, I think it would be tough to knock the two off their perspective marketshare.

As I understand it, it has been in beta test for a while and the "test flights" will begin soon. Hopefully they get a good group of people to put it through its paces so that we get a polished unit.

Let's see what is announced at MACNA. I think we will hear some great things coming from Ecotech.....
I wouldn't trust Echotech as a controller. You can't even trust them as a powerhead, from rusting. Or main from melting. Oh the super long 1 yrs warranty..Lol.

@op
You have a free controller with your system. Its a good foot in the door to play with. Get you use to having one and open your experience to a higher level. That for the price and experience can't be beat.
After you work with it a while and learn some cool things, than ask yourself a few questions if you want to change.
Each one is good for a different person.
1 do I want a bunch of models that can go out. Have room for bulky weird orange lego parts?
2 do I want every thing to be dependent on just the brain or stand alone for safety.
3 most important, what am I the most comfortable with working with.
There are a lot of this is better or that is better. But what's best for you?

I actually think the person spamming the help section has learning disabilities from my previous interactions on a UK forum - where they were swearing blind they wanted an aquarium monitor, but would never buy an aquarium controller?! ;Blackeye.

Like you've said, that person just didn't want to learn and seems to not wish to spend even a few moments researching how to do something themselves before posting for others to spoon-feed information to them.
Firstly. you think because I am not computer literate I have learning difficulties? you are an insult to people who genuinely do have learning difficulties.
secondly, because I have asked a lot of questions you think I am spamming? I personally see it as learning.
Thirdly, the uk forum you are referring to, you say I swore blind that I wanted a monitor but would never have a controller, I just asked is there such a thing as a monitor rather than a controller because at that time I didn't feel the need to have a controller, now I feel I needed a controller as circumstances have changed, please post facts not lies and innuendo.
fourthly, If you read the thread properly i asked why i couldnt connect my pc wirelessly to the p4, everything else i did on my own (despite being thick?),
Nothing the very helpful people told me to do worked, i finally got it to work by restarting my pc and it worked first time,
Can you please point out where you say i didnt want to learn?
Can you please point out where i am unwilling to research, i read manuals resource guides and watched videos for hours before posting that question again,
fifthly, can you explain what you mean by your quote 'spoon-feed information to them' because my understanding is that people are just answering peoples questions, I could be wrong in thinking that.
On a final note i see you have been on this forum for 3 years with only 81 posts, maybe you should try and help people on here more.
Have a nice day my friend

If your little section of the Internet goes down

Which controller still works? Which controller can still message you that the internet, and your house power is out?

sorry if this thread has gone quiet but I’m guessing you’re referring to the Apex. Recently bought one so I’d like to know if you can point me to a guide on messages for power outages/internet?

Turn on apex heartbeat and it will notify you if the apex has not communicated with fusion on the hour.
Alternatively, put a UPS on your modem and apex to get instant notifications.

GHL and Aquatronica are the only controller that I know that can do that.

Aquatronica SMS Link

GHL SMS Link

With both units you get instant notification if the power goes off or if an alarm goes off for a sensor (user sets parameters). You can also SMS back a text message asking the module what the current situation is with the system. Obviously if there is no power all you will only get back a power out message. If only the internet is down it will still give you all the probe and plug stats.

OP said they were going with Apex - how's it going?

I have both GHL and Apex, and tend to like the Apex better for a couple of reasons: I can get used stuff for Apex because people are always upgrading, less so with GHL; for me, Apex UI is more intuitive than GHL.

That said, both are rock solid, and have been serving me well.

when there is a lot of 2nd had equipment available i tend to worry that its either not that good or you need to keep upgrading for some reason, i do have a ghl mind and its been doing its thing for 4 years now and only shouts at me when the ro needs topping up.

it was pricey at the time in comparison but at the time it was the only one of the controllers to have a pwm controller and i needed that to run my lanis so i went the ghl route, i have no regrets on my purchase (oh and my probes are still working!)

Hi foxt,
I'm literally just now getting it setup! So I don't have much I can say yet. It was very buggy getting it to connect to my WiFi (long story), but I finally did. I'm moving equipment to it in the next couple of days.

One thing I've learned that is really frustrating is that supposedly plugging my MP40 into the EB832 won't work (can cause constant disconnects)? So that's pretty frustrating, and an issue I imagine I wouldn't have with GHL? But I agree that it's nice that modules and such for the Apex can be found used often. Still, I've been kind of wishing I went ahead and got the GHL. I probably won't be using other modules really anyway. I mainly want to monitor things, schedule timers, and get alerts when something's out of whack. Thanks,
