Why does my apex give me strange time stamp when power is restored. Time of power loss is correct, but every time I get the restore it s the same numbers. Thanks in advance.

I had that happening also a month ago, It was driving my nuts. I check all the aquabus connections and did a unplug and 20 second and plugged the Apex back in and let the Apex do a hard reboot and the issue went away.

Idk if the Apex uses an internal battery to keep the time, but either that battery is dead or it is sending the email before it updates to the current time. The time it is sending you it UNIX's birthday, or the beginning of UTC.

Thank you Jsker I'll try that

Thanks abecker, it's very frustrating

I checked my connections and unplugged it for a min , but it still sends erroneous power restored message. I did notice it's sendinding email before display comes on if that makes s difference.

It may be worth checking out the Neptune forums, back when I had an apex I was able to get some really good info there from people. Someone there may know of some other troubleshooting that can be done.

Try the reboot from the display Home>system>Netsetup>restart.

I tried that and still no dice. I'm sure it's something simple , operator error on my end. When I get some free time I'm gonna go to Neptune forums and see what I can find. Thank you for taking the time to help

Good idea, lets us know what you find:)

I had this issue. Contacted support. The issue was that I had the power monitoring feature enabled but no auxiliary 12V power supply connected to the base unit. They then told me about all the power monitoring features the Apex had via RussM's power-point presentation:

https://forum.neptunesystems.com/sh...nd-Management-presentation-given-at-MACNA2013

Once I got the 12V, everything worked as it should.
Man thank you Spifftempo, that slide presentation helped. Thanks for taking time to send it !
