I installed an Apex device with the bells and whistles yesterday. Waited until today to try to calibrate the pH probe as i read that it should be in water for 24 hours prior. I;m getting the same reading from the 7 and 10 pH solutions: 504.

Am I missing something? Could it be that the probe is defective?

Thanks!

I'm trying to remember the symptoms. I had to replace my Apex pH probe when I first got it for same reason. Wouldn't calibrate and readings were way off. Even had to replace the replacement if I remember right. Neptune customer service was great. Just enter a support ticket and they'll get back to you to walk through symptoms and troubleshooting.

Found it...mine failed at 6.92. After getting walked through reset (reboot or push reset button for 1-2 sec only) and manually calibrating (recording results) it was probe failure and they sent new one. The manual procedure is available online with user docs.

Good luck.

So I was finally able to calibrate the probe correctly, with the help of Neptune support, and now everything is working as it should. It turns out that if you don't remove the rubber tip from the probe it likely won't calibrate work very well! I'm a dummy sometimes... :p

Thanks to everyone who offered assistance! Much appreciated.
