Apex PM1 & PM2

I'm starting to implement a dosing regimen with kalkwasser to maintain alk & CA. I've never really seen the value in the PM1/pH probe but now starting to consider getting one since it will allow me to easily monitor pH when adding kalk. Also considering getting the salinity probe & PM2.

In your opinion, are these add-ons worth the additional price? I would likely get them used.

I would say one of them could be useful to prevent overdosing. I don’t think both would be that helpful. Set either a high pH limit or a low salinity limit to stop dosing. Save some loot on the second probe.

Agreed, as the ph probe is more reliable than the salinity probe in its readings. I do use a salinity probe but not to turn stuff on or off. For me it is an alert to check what might be going on if it reads an unusual drop or rise. Air bubbles can cause erratic readings so I would hesitate to use it as an automated control.
