Neptune is usually pretty helpful. Try calling again and maybe send an email to customer support.

I’m in the same boat here, from the standpoint of electronics functioning properly (and failing how I’d expect for this matter) something is very odd here. Please note I 100% believe your story and that they are fried, etc.

I’ve always had great support with Neptune when I create a support ticket online, and my follow up calls have always been very productive. I firmly believe this is a Neptune issue and that you’ll need to try them again.

It’s going to be hard to diagnose further on the forum unless you have a multimeter. I’d also be interested in checking your wall power, some devices are more tolerant of voltages being a little off than others.

Well.... I’m about to lose my mind.

I just received a replacement driver I bought on marine depot.

Opened the controller, replaced the driver, plugged into the WALL, pressed the on button..

Guess what...?

Go ahead.

FRIED! It flashed for a second then same as always.

I truly believe it’s that particular power supply. It’s the third driver ir fries.

Im gonna go for a walk or I’ll end up burning this whole thing down. I am livid.

Did you replace the power supply also? If you plugged a bad power supply into a new driver it will destroy it.

I would reach out to Neptune Systems but the guy answering the phones is beyond rude. Don't feel like dealing with that.

Power supplies are cheap, you can get on Amazon. You don't need to buy the overpriced Ecotech one.

The driver and the controller are the same thing? When I’ve replaced the driver unit it’s just a matter of opening up the black box and connecting it to the dryside cord and moving over the RF module.

Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you need to replace the power supplies and drivers on each unit before you plug them in. I am still trying to wrap my head around how this happened in the first place. Just make sure you only do one MP-40 at a time and do not plug them into that defective EB8.

Double check on your old power supply the output rating. I think it's 24v, 3A you'll need. You may even have one kicking around from an old laptop or something.

The whole unit is getting shipped to Ecotech today so they can take a look at the whole thing.

Just for the record, when I began the post I truly thought it was the power bar (or the EB8).. This particular power supply has toasted three drivers. I hope I can get my powerhead back soon. I love Neptune systems products and Ecotech has gone far and beyond to help.

No other equipment has been damaged (fingers crossed) since the beginning of this post.

I just assumed the new driver came with a new power supply as well.... hmmmmm. With the money you’ve spent on MP40 parts, might as well buy a multimeter at this point. I highly recommend a Fluke 117 lol.

A meter will help us (and Neptune and Ecotech for that matter) figure this out
