I just picked up a used apex and I was curious about something I do not have to run 150 200 foot ethernet cord to my modem is there a brand somebody recommends to make it wireless thanks

I have used an Apple Airport Express for the last three years without issue. Upgrading the firmware will require an ethernet cable however. That is true for ANY wireless implementation of the APEX. I just keep a long cable stashed in the closet for firmware upgrades (like about once a year or so.)

Thanks yeah I just don't want to have to go into my walls and do it all like that don't mind running a cable across the floor couple times a year

You can do Ethernet over power. You could also set up a wireless Ethernet base station as well.

I use a netgear Wnce2001 I bought refurbished online for around $19. Very easy to set up and so far has not given me any issues.

Thanks for all the info that is what my friend has also it's probably the one I'm going to go with

That seems like a really good one. Wish I knew of that one before I got my adapter.

Any wireless router will work a old Linksys will work great also. for the best results if you already have a router in your home purchase that line that can be used as a extender or bridge, you'll have less fall outs and conflicts when upgrades occur.

I use a net gear av 500 power line adaptor. I can even stream had movies over it. Highly recommend it. I even upgraded my apex firmware to 4.30 with it.
