Does the Neptune probes go completely under water or is there a height they need to be at?

Temp Probe can go completely under water. With ph I have about 1/2” of the probe above water. Some say water can seep in on ph probe from top if totally under water but I can’t confirm that. As far as other I don’t know since I don’t have
