ok seems my computer knowledge is outdated, and I need to refresh on some things. Have a dynamic IP from the ISP. How do I get it set so I can connect to apex from outside the home network? I work on the road and only have physical access to the tank 4-8 days a month. CDNESS had a source but I can not for the life of me remember how to go about doing it. I am checking into static IP with the ISP, but I also want options if that doesnt work out.

You need something like dyndns. Dyndns no longer has a free service so you might be able to use something like no-ip.com. Basically, you download software to your computer that detects whenever your external IP address is changed. The software will then update the dns so that the hostname points to your home.
With all that said, Neptune has been working on the Apex Fusion for some time now and it should be released very soon (hopefully next month). This will allow you to log onto a website they host and you will be able to manage your apex and see your settings from that site. No more port forwarding or worrying about your IP changing =). You will need to update your Apex firmware though (they actually have the beta firmware released now which is also required for the new neptune auto feeder).
