Ok #apexusers, I'm setting up my first apex, and I figured instead of starting a new thread for each bump I hit, I'll just start a thread and update with questions as I run into them. Hoping you guys can help me as I go.

I got the basic Fusion setup done (had to reset the Apex and upgrade firmware...that was fun).

Now I'm in the actual setting up of the probes.

My first question is how can I set my temp to measure in F instead of C? I assume it's currently in Celsius bc the measurement is at 20.6 degrees. The display unit says it's set to Fahrenheit, but that can't be right. I'm guessing I need to reset it in Fusion somehow?

following along
Mines in the box but plan on starting this week, so firmware updates ?

On your display that came with the apex hit the circle button--setup--temp setup and then there should be the option to change temp reading. Also you are getting 2 temp readings because one is the main unit and the other is for the temp probe that will go in the pm2. You did get a pm2 right? I can't remember lol

Here are a few photos of what I'm seeing:

I just set my first one up a few weeks ago. Mine showed celcious also to start, but I selected farenhiet and saved it and it switched. Also I ran an update before I started changing things.

I tried resetting on the display, but it is already set to Fahrenheit.

I did get a pm2, but I don't have a temp probe on it.

I have the new Apex so I did it all in fusion without the display. Also the unused temp port on the pm2 does show up even if nothing is plugged into it. I just had to hide whichever one I was not using.

Defective probe??
Um, yea most likely.

The temp probe on the pm2 will show up even if a probe isn't actually plugged in. Maybe trybplugging the temp probe into the pm2 and see if that helps with the temp reading

Changing ports actually worked. The pm2 reading is hitting 77.4 degrees...not sure if that should make me happy...since it may indicate an issue with the brain.

Well that's good news and bad news. That tells me the port on the brain is bad. Take a closer look at the port and see how it looks. Shine a flashlight in there to get a good look

How do I change which temp reading shows up on the dashboard in Fusion? Currently it's showing tmpx4 (from the pm2), but I want it to show the tmp reading (from the probe connected to the brain).
There's a little lock on the top right of the screen. If you click that it shows available ports and such, and allows you to rearrange them on the screen.
