I recently set up a co2 scrubber thru my skimmer thanks to BRS video and now my pH is great but;
Is there a way to have my skimmer turn off when the ph goes above 8.3, and to run whenever it’s lower than that?

Someone on a Facebook group told me it could be done with some coding but I got scared, is there a way I can do it without coding ? And if I do need to code it could someone please show me like...exactly what I would need to type.
Thanks

I thought I was slick and set it up like this^^^ but it doesn’t seem to be working

Give this a try...

Fallback OFF
Set ON
If pH > 8.30 Then OFF
Defer 005:00 Then ON

I’m pretty sure this should work. The 5 minute defer statement is in there so it’s not constantly switching on and off if pH is bouncing around you cutoff range of 8.3

Just out of curiosity, if you don’t turn off the skimmer how high does the ph get? If it doesn’t go higher than 8.4, why worry about it?

Unless your skimmer is set-it-and-forget-it, I think randomly turning it on and off might require frequent skimmer tweaking. How about splitting the air input to the skimmer and controlling the origin with two solenoid valves - one for scrubber air input and one for other air input?
