Apex system and rock

Recently bought an apex system from a buddy of mine as well as rock what should I check first on the apex and what can I do with the rock before putting it in the system for everything for 460

For rock, soak in bucket with seawater and allow to circulate at least 72 hours.
For apex, hook it up, add to Wi-Fi and fusion account then figure what each outlet on the EB832 will be used for
