I bought a 150g set up that came with an Apex and a few add ons. Since installing it, we cannot get the display to work. The backlight will come on, but that's it. We've updated the firmware, and done a ton of troubleshooting. One thing the user manual states could be a problem is the controller sometimes "sees" 2 displays. In the control panel on the desktop we see 2 displays, so we believe this is the issue. The solution is to rescan the aquabus but this must be done using a telnet command that only Neptune can do. Problem is, with the whole quarantine thing, we can't get in touch with a human at Neptune. So, I was wondering if there is anyone here that has had to do this and could help.

There is a really great user forum supported by Neptune systems. Check there and I'm sure you can find some quick help

We've contacted them several times, but have only had 2 replies so far. The first was a link to their user manual. I've printed all 164 pages, lol. That's how we got to what I believe is the source of the problem. We got a 2nd email just asking how it was going. I'm sure they are amazingly helpful, we just can't seem to get a physical person on the phone. We've emailed them again, so hopefully, they can provide us some more specific guidance. Mostly, I'm just impatient and want this thing up and running!

It's not quite as plug and play as I had hoped, but it's because we bought it 2nd hand. We had to get the first owner to delete his account so we could register it as ours. Then, we had to update all of the firmware. THEN, we found that 2 modules were still out of date and we got that fixed. Now, we can see that the controller is "seeing" 2 displays, so we have to rescan it. I am pretty confident, that once we get that squared away, we can calibrate the pH and get everything running properly.

It's a lot of sweat equity, but it will be worth it once it's running, especially for what we saved buying it used.

Have you tried performing a factory reset?

Is it the new APEX that is orange and silver or one of the older Apex Classic that is rectangular and may either have an orange/white or black/white lable?

Are you able to get to the web page? If so and you just want to delete a 2nd display:

If new Apex on web page
Click the gear, then two to the right "modules", then click on the display you want to delete, then action then select delete.

If its the Apex Classic on web page
Click Configuration-->Module setup, select the module you want to delete, then click the "delete module" radio button, then click Submit Change

It's the classic.

It's the classic.

if you are able to access the internal web server on the apex classic (should be able to get to it via web browser at whatever IP address you set it up with. Username admin Password 1234 unless it’s been changed)

Then You should be able to do the following:

Click Configuration-->Module setup, select the module you want to delete, then click the "delete module" radio button, then click Submit Change

Cool! Thanks. How do I know which one to delete, or does it matter?
