Apex Trident - Question on Magnesium readings

I finally landed the unicorn and got the Trident from my LFS. Calcium and Alkalinity readings are totally inline with test kits (beyond what I could have hoped for) however... the Magnesium readings are over 200PPM above what I get with two separate test kits. Any of you other Trident owner experience this? I'm still in the three day start up so haven't the calibration but was still concerned as the other results are all really good. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

I haven't experienced this issue, all of mine are in line with my readings. I would wait for the normal week or so long break in and then calibrate and see what the readings are afterward. Though they are calibrated from the factory they do get beat around during shipping.

I wouldn’t draw any conclusions until you’ve calibrated the unit. You could also try testing the trident calibration solution in your other Mg test kit. After calibration, my trident was very close to my other test kits for Ca and Mg, but well off for alk.

Mines pretty spot on. I’d also say wait till you calibrate it.
