Apex trident question

I use the Calibration water that comes with the reagents. I Double check trident with the hanna checker every few weeks.

Here's what I do: Use Apex calibration solution. Put the bottle at the same height as the end of the black tubing as it is in the tank, but put the bottle outside of the tank. Then put the tube into the calibration bottle. The tube has to be close to operating configuration because the back pressure on the line is important for accuracy.

Prime the sample line twice before calibration. Then enter the numbers from the bottle on the calibration screen, and calibrate.
After calibration is complete, put the black tubing back into the tank where it was. Prime the sample line twice. Run a test, or wait till next test.

Thanks for the reply…do u wait 48 hours before calibrating the new reagents

It depends. How long has your Trident been running?

It been running for about 8 month… I just change the reagents about three hours ago
You can let it run for the 48 hours or prime the reagents lines, then calibrate.

Sup guys…how do u guys calibrate ur tridents?? Are you guys using calibration water that comes with the reagents or the tank water?
I calibrate mine either at every bottle change or every other bottle change.

Do you find the Trident to be accurate ?

Gotcha, I had the trident when it first came out and found the calc to be higher than my Salfert. I just bought another trident hoping I got a better one because testing calc with the hanna is a pain.

Do you find the Trident to be accurate ?
Yes, when calibrated correctly. Hanna is usually within the margin of error for the test kit.
