I just recieved my apex and have began setting it up and am begining to think I'm in way over my head. I set up the temp and first ph probe and calibrated it easily. I then plugged in my second pH probe ( for my ca reactor) to the PH/ORP port on the aquacontroller. I cant find where or how to calibrate this second probe. when I go to set up all i see is my first probe named PH_sum. How do I configure this second pH probe?

No i have the full apex. I finally figured it out i had to push the down arrow when enabling the ph probe and change my display setting to see the value. Thanks for your response. Do you know which outlets on the EB8 are the variable speed ones for ramping my leds?

if you go to the webpage you will see under configuration probe setup. Then under probe select pH2 and then hit calibrate and just follow the commands.

Variable Speed ports are on the Apex Base Unit V1-V4. The EB8 doesn't have variable ports, only on/off outlets. For additional variable ports you need a VDM module.

My LEDs do not have the ethernet type cable they are just grounded 120v plug ins. Is there no way to use these lights with the variable speed ports?

The lights have to be controllable. And not all LED lights works with the Apex ports. I know the AI Sol work, and the Apollo Reef (controllable) work with the Apex. In addition to the 120v plug to turn the power on/off there has to be a variable voltage control connection as well.

i know that there is a Beginner's Guide to Apex that if you Google is a PDF covering everything from initial setup to setting it up wirelessly to setting every command on the EB8 so take a look at that if you are still having issues on setup.

well i can find the pdf file called apex manual ( it came with the apex on a cd also) but i doubt this is the "beginers guide" your referencing haha
