APEX wave pumps battery backup?

I have a Ecotech battery backup from some MP pumps I used to have. Has anyone tried using the battery backup for Ecotech pumps with their APEX WAV pumps? I believe their the same voltage, @24 VDC, but I haven't heard of anyone trying to use the Ecotech battery backup for their WAV pumps.

I bet it will work fine except will the wavs run if the neptune head is off?
