just hooked up the apex and went to calibrate the probes , after calibration I put the probes into my sump. My salinity is reading 7.1!!!! The temp is also low in the 68 degree range . I'm not sure what's going on with it but if anyone has had this experienceee and can help thank youuuu

The probes need some time in the sump/tank. Mine were wacky for a week. Then I calibrated and they were much closer to correct and holding values.

I tossed the calibration fluids out !!! Should I pick some more up and if so where can I get it !? It said one time use so I thought it was allset

Bulk Reef supply is where I picked mine up. I’d get a few as you need to calibrate every few months. I go every 6 months for calibration.

7.1 on Salinity? are U referring to pH? Or did u use the wrong solution to calibrate?

Make sure the Salinity Probe is plugged in securely, I got a reading like that when mine wasn't plugged in good.
I will give that a shot and worse case I'll order some more calibration fluid and try to calibrate again

I ended up speaking with apex because I couldn't get mine to sit right, ended up having to open it up and push the card back in place, then re plug it in and it went from 3 to 35. Good luck!

My probe read low when I first put it in it was in the 20's over the next week it climbed up to 45 then leveled out it was only then that I calibrated it and it has been spot on every since. I was worried about it due to all the salinity probes wont calibrate posts I had read. The probe need time to soak from what I read.
