I little help please.

I just connected my Reefbrite 60" xhos with my Apex thru their dual controller. Everything seems to be programmed fine with the schedule I want to run.

My problem is, when the light ramps all the way down to "0", I still have low current powering the lights. Very dim moonlight effect, but I would prefer them to be completely off at this point.

I do have the light power also connected to my eb832 so I could have that shut them off. That would seem to be an overcomplicated solution.

Is there a way to essentially calibrate my 0% to be a true 0% of power going to the lights?

I do not know which way your dimmer works - today many controls works with help of PWM and with this technique it is possible to get down to 0 light. However - there is another type of dimmers that use current in order to dim the fixture - these can sometimes be difficult to get to 0 light. If this is the case with your dimmer - probably the only way is to switch of your outlet at the same time the dimmer is at 0

Sincerely Lasse

I don't have an Apex, but I do use the Reef Brite controller with my Profilux.

I have my minimum 0-10V set at 1V and my XHOs do go completely off when 1V is applied to the Reef Brite controller. When I set the light schedule to 0% it's 1V, 100% is 10V.

Hopefully an Apex user can chime in for what it has for the 0-10V settings.

That sounds like what is going on here. 0 just equals the 1%.
I've just set the Apex outlet to shut it down after my moonlight period.
Thanks for the info.
