Posted this on neptunes forum a few days ago, but there seems to be a much more active user base here. Has anyone seen this issue? am i missing something dumb?

my MP10WES doesn't seem to be corresponding to the speed commands from the WXM.

when I set it to reef crest or lagoon, power 50, it ramps well over 50. up near 80. Why is this?
is the WXM only comparable with QD pumps?

my MP10 QD seems to have none of the same issues.

The MP10WES should be compatible. Just checking, did you just set this up, or is this a new issues on a setup that was previously working? I've run into issues a few times and had to delete and reconnect my MP40s to the WXM. Here are a handful of things worth checking.

Is the MP10 responding to Apex control at all? Set the outlet to OFF/ON rather than Auto, it should turn off or jump to 100% power. If not, it is not connected/communicating with the WXM properly.

Make sure the Apex and the WXM module both have up to date firmware installed. Check the Apex first, if it is out of date but has matching WXM firmware, WXM will appear to be up to date.
To check Apex: In Apex Fusion > Open Apex list > if you see an arrow or warning con it means there is an update. (just a gear icon means the apex is up to date)
To check the WXM: In Apex Fusion > Settings Gear > Modules > WXM should have a green check next to it

After that it might be worth deleting and reconnecting the MP10 to the WXM

its fairly new. i'm not sure if the WES has ever worked accurately.
yes it responds perfectly. just not the speed. The speed does respond, just not the right %
Yes, the WXM and apex is the correct firmware. not sure of the MP10. (first thing i checked)
I'll try deleting and re-connecting if i remember. But this pump is slated for a QD controller upgrade, so i might not remember by the time i upgrade it lol.

Ok, so it is at least connected and working to some degree.

Does it seem to be switching modes reefcrest, lagoon, etc. correctly?

Where are you seeing that the speed is wrong, on the apex fusion dashboard next to the control outlet, or are you looking at the lights on the controller?

I don't know, and am just speculating. Is it possible it is going to 80% of your max set point?

yes, it switches modes,
i'm not actually sure if the LED's change with speed (on either one) i'll have to check. the controllers are mounted to the side of a cabinet, I'll check.

I don't think so, the one dry side is noisy when above 40%, and it's definitely noisy, like when i run it manually.
