Hi, I just got my apex setup, and wanted to setup the float switches but cable is far too short to reach sump...do they sell a cable extension for that? I did order one from amazon that looked right but pins don't match up.

Ah the float switches...I think you may need to go with a splice job on what #22 gauge? Normally those are used with a breakout box...I think they just put one together from how it looks (got mine last week).

Get some shrink wrap too, or if in a pinch some electrical tape and tie wraps. I plan on getting a break out box and wiring it up to get a few more float switches out of it.

No need to cut anything.

Its a MiniDin8 wire:

Thanks for reply...just researched the break out box might be best way to do it...also can add leak detectors in the future off the break out box?

The breakout box is great. Lets you use buttons, float switches, reed switches, etc. 6, to be precise.

Bit of a tricky answer regarding leak detection. The apex leak detectors are meant to go with the FMM, which reads resistance. If you cut the wire and plug it to breakout box, you are reading open/closed circuit. So not as precise, and might not trigger from a RODI leak or something.
