Ghl only kinda needs windows, really just for firmware updates. And hopefully this is changing. A nice part of the profilux 4e is if do want more probes can just buy expansion cards for the unit itself. Instead of adding endless modules. i added a second ph probe to mine, for a carx. The windows computer i use for updates is a really crappy used laptop, doesn’t need to be state of the art.

The expansion card is definitely a plus. I like the square boxes better than "shapes" as well.

Not exactly the same thu.
Expansion card go inside the main box. Like your sim card inside you phone.
So its internal.
The box/module is an external device that requires it's own wire connection and space.
That's why I talked about having less wires and leas modules...make sense?
But as I said the ghl came with so much functions I did not need to buy expansion box...

I understood. I don't like the way Neptune makes the stylized modules. The Trident does not need to look like a tent for example.

Ha ha I feel ya, but just to be clear I am not talking about the design..its the function and feasibility. Internal in the same box support where you have only one physical box that connect to all probs..etc vs external module addition with wires....hope the point came across..
