So I really dident want to make a whole thread on just this, however I cant seem to find an answer on the net or anywher else.

I purchased the API HK test kit and tested twice so far

first time 12-13 drops changed from blue to a dark yellow. Not really sure what that means
second time 8-9 drops changed it from blue to a dark yellow

The question I have is, Where do I want my water to be at? I understand the test and what its telling me. I just dont know what I'm looking for.

Is 12 drops to much? too little?

and the calcum test also...

theres plenty of videos on youtube of how to do the test, but non about where U want to be and I just cant seem to find these answers.

It would be awesome if someone made a chart (or maybe there is one and i cant seem to find it) of all the water levels I already know where my phosaphate, nitrate, ammonia, nitrite and ph, But I know theres many other tests out there I'll have to start doing for keeping some of the harder corals. I would love to see a chart of all the tests and where each one should read for keeping the best water quality.

I sure hope im not being a pest for asking about this. I truly did as much research before I resorted to making a thread, maybe Ive just been looking in the wrong places but its so hard to believe theres nothing out there already. Thanks in advance
