I have not used any API Products in my saltwater aquarium. Should I and will it harm any bta, snails or anything else sensitive in the aquarium?

I have always went by a simple but obvious rule
Never dose anything to my tank that i can’t test a need for .
This being said there are many products available that claim to make the world of differences but … is that all they do ?
By adding a dose from that bottle it claims to help with “A” but what else will it change or effect ?
Next thing you’re adding a dose of bottle
B and C to combat the effects from bottle A
Leading down a rabbit hole of issues and dumpling multiple doses of who knows what and not knowing what helped or what made it worse .
Ultimately … it’s your system and your investment but I know what I wouldn’t do .
