API Test Kit Color Determination - An Answer From API

I have been very frustrated by the API test kit color determination (yes, I know, use Salifert... ! ... I'm going digital once my reagents are used up!), and last night was very frustrating. Not to mention that advice I got from this forum and others in-person said to hold the vial in contact and against the card.

API response to my online query says to hold it in front and off the card. See below screenshots.

Thanks for the post and the clarification for others. I've always held the tube just slightly above the white card to get the most accurate reading. That being said, do your self a favor and get Hanna Checkers, especially for checking copper levels.
 
I'm having trouble determining what this is....somewhere between 7.8 and 8.2...let me know what you think. Thanks guys.
