I have a 4.8 gallon AIO nano tank, and upgraded my return pump to a Sicce Syncra Nano. I have it on the highest setting at 110g/h. I also attached the random flow nozzle designed for my EShopps tank.

However, even with all of that, no matter how I seem to angle it, the hammer coral (on the right, the same side as the flow nozzle), only barely moves back and forth, maybe a couple of millimeters side to side.

Is that enough flow to remove detritus and the like from the coral? Any opinions on such a small tank and flow would be appreciated. Maybe there's a well-known angle with the random flow nozzle that I should be doing, but I have it angled to the left and just slightly below water level so you see a slight ripple. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Flow can be tricky in nano tanks. If you've already upgraded the pump and added a RFG I'd say you're probably getting close to your limits. If you have a chance to upload a short video of the hammer that might be helpful.

Yeah, that's fair. I'll upload a video tonight. Others have had issues viewing them after uploading, but let me know if it works for you then.

Here's the video, let me know if it works for you or not. The right side flows a little bit, but the left side not so much.

Not sure but I just put this hammer in my tank today and it seems to be doing ok on the frag rack until I can place into a spot with a bit more flow.

I cant see the video but in a 4 gal tank yes. Just be thankful it’s alive.
Do you... not have any codecs on your phone or desktop/laptop? That's bizarre.

In either case, my aim was to give it the most ideal conditions, even though it is a ~5g tank. Water chemistry and lighting is there, now I wanted to consider flow as well.
