Aptaisia in overflow box

Hi all !!

Anyone any idea how to kill/remove aptaisia from the overflow box !! I noticed one or two in my tank and killed them with aptaisia x... I looked down the overflow and there must be 50+ in there which I can't reach to kill them !! I dont want thousands of aptaisia eggs spreading to my display!! Any help would be much appreciated!!

You likely have more in your display and/or sump that you don't know about.

However, as reason you can't shut down the return pump temporarily, isolate the overflow box, and treat that way? It will help with the overflow, but you'll have to continue to deal with those in the sump/DT.

I have the same problem now. Was thinking of turning off return pump and close my valves. Then taking hot water and pouring in overflow and let it sit. Then take a shop vac and remove water.
