Recently bought these zoas that have grown on a piece of coral, to my surprise I found a single {for now} aptasia that sticks his tentacles out , how do I treat ? 20240411_150745.jpg

Turn off all water pumps and flow when the aiptasia is open
Use a product like F-Aiptasia or aiptasia x and apply slowly to the mouth so it consumes it. Then cover it in small pile of the product. Leave flow off 20 min then turn everything back on.

In my experience f-aiptasia and similar products only help spreading the plague. As soon as reefers start using them on one or two, suddenly they have hundreds.

Best way is to break of part of the rock with the aiptasia attached without damaging it. If this isn't possible, I try to entomb the aiptasia in super glue.

For some reason my zoa garden has been a magnet for aptasia over the years. Not wanting to get chemicals on my zoas Ive gotten berghia nudibranchs. I hope that is the end for you.
