I'm getting aptasia all over my tank. Even in the sand bed. I have a few rocks that I'm going to take out, but what's the best solution for eliminating this? How can I kill from the rocks I'm removing?

Personally, i'd create a small QT tank out of the tank water from your DT. Then I would put like 6-10 bhergia nudi's in the QT tank. Slowly take your LR out of your DT and put it in the QT. The Nudis will eat it up and not be killed by other predators.

I think this is the most effective natural way. I suppose you can look into peppermint shrimp too, but i'd do something similar with the QT tank cause they can go rogue and kill other things.

Hope it helps, I am fighting them now too. My Nudi's have taken out about half the population in 1 months time. (I had over 500+ aiptasia).its going to be a long while but its nice to see the aiptasia slowly get cut down! Its also nice to see the nudis out grazing at night!

The only thing in the tank is 2 ocellaris clowns. Would they be OK in with them. Thanks

peppermint shrimp will work very well. I was getting quite a few after letting my tank go for a bit and they did the trick. I put 2 in my 48g. I would put more if your tank is bigger. Good luck

I was in the same spot u are about 6 months ago. I had an aiptasia garden... Its deff beatable as I no longer have any left but I kid you not I had like 50+. First thing I did was use Aiptasia X and started elminating the bigger ones. You shut down your return and all of your powerheads and you use the syringe to inject the glue in front of the mouth of the aiptasia and they consume it and poof they shrivel up and die. If you have a lot dont do them all in one sitting as it is a lot of glue to add to the tank at one time. The next thing i did is I went out and purchased 3 peppermint shrimp. After a short settling in time the pepps started eating all of the smaller aiptasia and over the course of a month I noticed them getting less and less until one day I realized they were all gone. Just try to be patient it can take a while.

Id get a bunch of peppermint shrimp for the small ones.. Get a syringe (with needle) and for the big ones, Inject lemon juice right into their oral discs..
worked for me!

Yeah if you have no corals dump like 6 peppermints in there and let them go to town

They say the peppermint that sway back and forth eat them best. I saw a few on a new rock I brought in and added the shrimp and within few days all gone. Have not noticed anymore since. I know I still have 1 peppermint left

Good luck. Only way I solved them was adding my copperband butterfly. I think the fact that I was infested with them is the only reason I was successful in getting him to eat frozen. I've had him 15 months now.

I wish I could get a copper banded fish, but my 100g has more aggressive fish in it.
