Hi. I’ve been reading a bunch of posts but still undecided. I have a mixed reef 125 gallon. I have multiple inverts including 2 fire shrimp, multiple hermits and snails. I have a variety of fish - A juvenile sail fin, adult redhead Solon fairy wrasse, hello chorus wrasse, 2 tiny chromis, clown pair, pj cardinal pair, diamond goby, fire fish, lawnmower blenny and a purple claw lobster..all varieties of coral and one small RBTA that my clowns have yet to discover.
So I’ve read about peppermint shrimp, file fish and I still can’t decide which is best and safest for my particular tank.
Experience, advice, whatever appreciated!!

Hi there I’m a newbie here with a100 gallon tank I also had a wee outbreak of aptasia so I bought a file fish an took a couple of days for him to settle in but after a week most the Aiptasia was gone so he seems to have done a good job on it the problem I’m having now is vermetid snails lol

I have a ton of those things too!! I dip and quarantine everything but I truly think it takes a trained eye to catch a lot of this stuff and that only come with the help of an experienced reefer willing to sit with you and show you how to ID things; remove them, remove frag from plug, etc. I do now but I’m afraid what I do have now was brought in much earlier and is just starting to get to a noticeable point
