Aptasia on Clam shell

My clam died 3 months ago, and now I see what I think is Aptasia growing off the shell. I removed the shell from my tank but would like to kill the Aptasia and then put the shell back in.

Suggestions on killing the Aptasia? (besides putting the clam shell on the patio table and let eveything dry for a month)

Take a syringe and inject kalkwasser mixed with tank water into the consistency of toothpaste into the center core of the aptasia and it will melt away

Take the shell out and put boiling water on it. Scrape off what is left and you are good to go.
since it represents small surface I wouldn’t worry about killing any bacteria on it.
