Aptasia on shelf rock

I have 3-4 large Aptasia On a triangular section of shelf rock. The rest of the shelf rock is underneath of rock that I’m going to be removing from my display.
Could I soak that section of shelf rack in kalkwasser for 30 minutes more or less to kill the Aptasia?
any other ideas would be appreciated.
