Aptasia? or a Nem?

This was attached to some macro algae I bought from the LFS.

I would not put that "macro algae" in my tank. I would not buy animals from that LFS either

All the LFSs in my area are just as bad. It's depressing going to them. They used to have good ones backing the day

Yup they are aptasia. Just stay on top of controlling them from the start. They aren’t the end of the world if you stay on top of it. Almost everyone has them or will have them at some point.

Start shopping for berghia nudibranchs, peppermint shrimp, or filefish

Your tank has herpes now, only thing you can do is manage it. There is no cure

Now you know why places sell "clean macro" at a premium. If you don't now, you will

I paid a vist to a LFS in Bay county Florida (Panama city) about 3 weeks ago (.Gulf Coast Aquarium) I will have to say that the reptiles enclosures looked good, the fish tanks looked great. BUT, the frag tank was loaded with aptasia and the frag tank sump looked bad. Exit I did
