Aptasia pandemic!!!!

Not the prettiest to look at, but a Kleins Butterfly would work and easier to care for than the CBB. Just have to keep an eye on it in case it gets a taste for coral.

My friends peppermints destroyed his sunset montis. As soon as the lights would go out, they would come out and go to town on them. Just make sure those guys are well fed after they get all the aptasia. I've never had aptasia but keep 2 of them in a 72 and never had any problems w them.

Some of these experiences make me afraid to drop peppermint shrimp, a CBB, or a filefish into my tank. Because sometimes they can go after your corals and I'm not sure it's worth the risk. Anybody try those nudibranches?

I tried a peppermint and it was the devils spawn! Destroyed three of my acanthus mini colonies in one week. I will never do it again!

I have never heard of such a thing, he must have been hungry or something, mine clean all my sps and zoa colonies by just picking around the polyps, does me a huge favor.

+1 whit the nudibranches they only eat aiptasias, but i forgot the name of the nudi

I've had minimal luck with peps, ok luck with CBB, neither will go after the larger one's and the CBB are very fragile. The peps will steal food from nems and other corals but never had them kill anything. No luck with JJuice or kalk paste. Zappers work ok, but if you can't get to it your out of luck. I did try a file fish and that thing ate blasto's and other lps, thats a no go! I have used a pearlscale butterfly and it would go after sps polyps, but did it eat the heck out of aptasia! I would try peps and a nudi if it was an outbreak.
