Aptasia Q

If there's Aiptasia in your sump, there's bound to be some in your display. My concern would be Aiptasia populating in the areas you can't see and then causing massive damage to your corals. A peppermint shrimp in the display should prevent an outbreak from occurring. Also, I would try to get rid of as much as possible in your sump or add another shrimp there

Is it worth spending money(peppermint,Burghia) to remove aptasia from my sump?no real problem in my display.
Aptasia do have the ability to travel from your sump to your display, whether they release from the rock and travel through your return or release spores. Best to get a peppermint shrimp and throw him in the sump. He'll make good work out of them :)

Are there different types of peppermint shrimp? Or do all peppermint shrimp eat aptasia? I may need one as well as I have seen 2 baby recently.

Peppermints will eat the aptasia but if there is fish food that they can get too they will eat that first.
I placed rocks with aptasia in a QT tank with peppermint shrimp. Not feeding the tank they eat all the aptasia.
Now here is the kicker. I then kept the rock in QT for three months without seeing any aptasia. Then after placing he rocks back in the display tank that had been torn out and cleaned and sanitized. After another month I saw the first aptasia return.
I would kill the ones that showed up and threw away rocks that had aptasia on them. It is a tough nut to keep a head of them.
