Aptasia X or Joes Juice ?

which one should i get ? i have a 15g nano cube with a bit of an aptaisia problem right now. no coral yet

Either will work, they both will get you the same result. Aiptasia-x is more or less kalkwasser powder mixed with water into a paste.

are the same or does any of them work better ? im kind of on a budget so if they are the same thing. should i just go with the cheaper one ? ( Joes juice is the cheaper at my lfs )

I would get f-aiptasia. Aiptasia-x and joe’s juice kill the aiptasia, but don’t kill the babies it releases when it dies. F-aiptasia forms a covering over the dead aiptasia so that the babies can’t escape and form new aiptasia.

Squirt it in their mouth and then their hole, and then cover the hole for a few seconds. They dissolve right up

H202 works too, but I find lemon juice works a little bit better.

In a nano I get concerned about toxicity of using chemical products because they can build up so fast so for my manjanos I plan to use lemon juice

If you are on a budget you can use lemon juice or boiling water. There is no real reason to buy those expensive products.

would using a pipete be okay ?, i dont really have a syringe and also. i heard it can make them problem worse sometimes ?. if not then yea definitly a lot cheaper and easier

i was worried about that too, but appearently these prodicts dont affect the water chemistry somehow so i thought it would be okay, right ? but if lemon juice works. i would definity try that

I don't think they say exactly what's actually in them so something that's designed to kill anemones I wouldn't trust to be completely toxin free

I'm really not sure if too much lemon juice would affect anything other than maybe pH slightly but of course you only want to use what's necessary...if you have a lot I wouldn't go for em all in one day...also just keep in mind for every one you kill if it's not removed a little ammonia will be released so I wouldn't kill off a whole bunch in a small tank all in one day for that reason either...I would guess lemon juice is probably the safest option though

I use the dental type plastic syringes with the curved tips for going after the aiptaisia.

I squirt the lemon juice into the mouth while the aip is open, then squirt more down into the foot then cover the hole with my finger to keep the lemon juice in there longer.

Store bought is fine

It may help if you turn off your flow too. It helps keep the lemon juice or whatever you are using in the spot longer.
